 💭 Some Things Don’t Need a Voice

Kaun kahta hai ki mohaubbat ka hai zubaan,
yeh haqeeqat toh nigaahon se baya hoti hai.
(Who says love has a language? The truth reveals itself through the eyes.)

This has been one of the most loved shayaris and I decided to write my own version of it. A little bit of context before we dive in....

Sometimes, you don't have to say something out loud for people to understand.                                            

It could be a stare , silence or a look in your eyes that reveals the truth. This poem is based on that very truth.

कौन कहता है कि मोहब्बत का है ज़ुबान,
ये हक़ीक़त तो निगाहों से बयाँ होती है।

कौन कहता है कि बुद्धि का उम्र है,
ये हक़ीक़त तो तजुर्बे से बयाँ होती है।

कौन कहता है कि अभिव्यक्ति की उम्र होती है,
ये हक़ीक़त तो आवाज़ से बयाँ होती है।

अंतरिक्ष का ज्ञान है निगाहों के उद्यान में,
क्योंकि आँख है रूह की खिड़की।

Transliterated Version

Kaun kehta hai ki mohabbat ka hai zubaan,
Ye haqeeqat to nigaahon se bayan hoti hai.

Kaun kehta hai ki buddhi ka umr hai,
Ye haqeeqat to tajurbe se bayan hoti hai.

Kaun kehta hai ki abhivyakti ki umr hoti hai,
Ye haqeeqat to aawaz se bayan hoti hai.

Antariksh ka gyaan hai nigaahon ke udyan mein,
Kyonki aankh hai rooh ki khidki.
